About

Welcome

Hi! I'm Dianna (she/her/hers). My great joy is supporting individuals facing difficult situations and partnering with them as they navigate reconnection with themselves, those they love, and the world around them. I encourage clients to become gentle, curious observers of their own experiences both internally and externally. I have found this allows for cultivating greater compassion for self and others, ultimately, allowing for the seeds of deep healing to spread and root. I believe that all of us have the capacity to heal, grow, and evolve if we so desire. That process of change can be confusing, lonely, and overwhelming at times, which is why having a guide and partner can be instrumental. The goal for my practice is to create a safe relationship and space for individuals to explore the layers of self, attune to their inner wisdom, and make decisions from a deep, knowing, place of empowerment. SERVICES Foundational to my practice is the belief that relationships are central in both our wounding and healing. Through providing a safe environment grounded in equity, mutual respect, and a sense of shared purpose, together we will work to support you in your journey towards greater growth and self-discovery. You are the expert in your life and I am here to meet you where you are and walk alongside you in your process. My clients often are aware that something in their current lives is no longer serving them and want to understand how that came to be as well as align themselves with the vision they have for their future. This often starts by noticing repeating patterns of behavior in themselves, or those they attract, and becoming curious about the reason why. They may also find that they experience certain physical and emotional responses (anger, anxiety, people pleasing etc.) and know that their body is trying to tell them something needs to shift. Whether you feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxiety, anger, depression, or find yourself reacting in ways that leave you feeling alone and hurt, we can come to be with all of it with gentle awareness and respect. It has been found that we can more easily connect to our true self and touch emotional distress in the presence of another's settled nervous system. Neurobiology and mindfulness science has proven that the human brain can be distraught while simultaneously observing the self with compassion. The ability to be both experiencing and holding the experience is the key to maintaining calm when facing challenges. Utilizing attuned presence and offering stabilizing mind-body approaches, I support clients in restoring and strengthening connection with themselves and the world around them. It is in the warmth of healthy relationship that we offer our brains the ability to rewire. Our journey will allow space for joy, for pain, for greater self awareness and compassion. In our work together, I pull heavily from relational principles and work from a personal-growth model where my role is that of a partner in holistic healing. Depending on what may work best for you, I incorporate tools such as art, writing, somatic work, psychodrama, mindfulness, and hypnotherapy. Additionally, I can support clients in discovering underlying false beliefs that are impacting the environments, behaviors, and strategies they have engaged in up until pursuing therapeutic support and intervention. Utilizing this new self-awareness, I support clients in harnessing their unique capabilities. Difficult relationships and traumas can affect your confidence and self-esteem, which can ultimately impact every aspect of daily life. Many of my clients find that therapy helps them not only manage symptoms but get to the root. I’m here to help you on that journey. We’ll work as a team to build on your strengths and figure out where you want to be. Then we’ll create the steps to get there. I look forward to meeting you and starting on this path together. ABOUT ME I am originally from California and attended Indiana University, Bloomington, for my B.A. in Psychology. I lived abroad for a year in Korea, teaching English, before returning home to the United States to pursue a Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Pennsylvania. After receiving my Master's I remained out East working in residential treatment with adolescents and their families until meeting my husband and deciding to relocate back to Indiana to be closer to family. I am currently a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Indiana and West Virginia. I am an out-of-network provider offering virtual, private pay services. I do try my best to work with client's financial circumstances and offer a limited amount of sliding scale openings. I look forward to meeting you!
